Exploding soda and Magnolia thieves
I left a can of Dr.Pepper in my car the other day. I left it in a cup holder in the car. It was nearly 80degrees that day outside my car. I don't know how hot it was in my car but it was hot enough to split half way off at the widest point nearest the top. Even more amazing was the fact that most of the mess stayed in the cup holder area. Not a lot of clean up needed besides letting a few paper towel soak everything up. I've kept the can as a momument to my unintentional science fair experiment.
I've been growing magnolias. It began as a little house activity back around mid-terms. Whoever grew their plant the biggest won a little prize. I won, but that's beside the point. When I moved into my summer housing I decided to buy a bigger pot for all my flowers since all 6 of the seeds I planted had sprouted. I also figured that since it was now acting like summer they would be better off outside. A few days go by and one of my magnolias had been stolen right out of the pot! One of the ones that had bloomed, too. Kind of upsetting. I figured it was a squirrel, Robert said it might be rabbits, either way I've put them up on an outside windowsill to avoid future losses. I have also decided to grow a few more to replace the ones I had so naievely left for the rodent residents.
It has quickly become what my brother describes as "stupid hot." So after months of winter to spring to winter to summer to winter to spring, the weather has finally decided to be summer... for now...
